When in 2014 the Luz Pharmacy changed premises and became the largest pharmacy in the Iberian Peninsula, the owners sought to develop and install an efficient lighting system that would be a source of well-being for customers. This was achieved by carefully selecting lighting tone, spectrum and incidence, and by regulating light intensity according to the solar exposition of the different areas of the pharmacy. The lighting concept developed also used light as the unifying element for the whole pharmacy area (which in depth occupies an entire city block), and to create a central point of interest. A large central light fixture, programmed to create an illusion of natural light, to change color statically to match promotion actions, or to produce dynamic light effects, was an innovative element with great notoriety.
